On December 5-7, 2008 there will be held in Paris a WDC event called "Open World Amateur Ballroom & Latin Championships 2008". This event is an unregistered event by the IDSF and IDSF athletes, officials and Adjudicators are not allowed to participate in this competition.
In Consideration of the requests received by athletes and by the International DanceSport Federation we wish to clarify that the competition called: Cervia Italian Open - June 21st/22nd 2008 is NOT authorized by FIDS therefore in respect of the rules in force the FIDS athletes cannot take part in the above mentioned event The 2008 Dutch Open Championship scheduled to be held at Assen, The Netherlands on November 13-16, 2008, is not granted by IDSF and is not registered by the IDSF Member for The Netherlands, Nederlandse Algemene Danssportbond (NADB). Accordingly the IDSF Presidium may take action against any athlete, adjudicator or other official, person or body associated with IDSF or an IDSF Member, who participates in this competition in any way, without any further notice to any of them.
